slashsound

abstract speed & sound // est. 2015

slashsound is a Detroit-based independent record label and artist platform run by Daniel Rhode and Francis Cuthbert since 2015, connecting experimental electronic music, contemporary composition, and underground dance music. Working with a growing community of composers, producers, and performers, slashsound releases music that crosses genres and approaches to sound-making, from acoustic instruments and studio experimentation to live synthesis and hardware-driven dance music. slashsound organizes live and community events around a shared interest in the abstract, the extreme, and the unexplored.
